Opsbeacon
Users
OpsBeacon operations and settings can only be managed by registered users on the OpsBeacon portal. User authorizations are determined by their assigned roles, associated execution policies, and group memberships.
Settings of Users
You can assign a user the role of Admin, Operator, or Read-Only (see below for role descriptions). Additionally, you can define their group memberships and execution policies. These settings can be customized both when creating a new user and when editing an existing one.
User Roles
Important!
User roles in the OpsBeacon Portal determine access rights. Regardless of the role assigned, users can execute operations defined in OpsBeacon, but only within the scope of the policies assigned to them.
Superadmin
Superadmin is the workspace owner, and each workspace can have only one Superadmin. No other user can hold the Superadmin role simultaneously. The Superadmin has exclusive access to workspace settings, including managing billing, deleting the workspace, and enabling preferred login methods such as Google or Microsoft.
Admin
Admins have access to see, create and edit almost everything in OpsBeacon portal, excluding workspace settings.
Operator
Operators can view, create, and edit execution components such as commands, connections, and triggers. However, they cannot modify settings like user management or execution policies.
Read-only
Read-only users can view objects in the OpsBeacon portal but cannot edit or delete commands, connections, or other items.
